Zoladz Construction is committed to providing our workforce a safe, healthy workplace. Safety is integrated into the working culture a safety attitude where each worker participates in a daily site meeting. These daily meetings are a facet of an overall approach to creating the safe work place.
Education & Training
Each worker, prior to entering the workplace, completes their OSHA 10 hour Construction Outreach and orientation to Zoladz. After a probation period, with a focus on continuous improvement the worker is offered courses that make them more productive and a better asset. The variety of course depends somewhat on the overall needs of the company but currently includes competent person for trenching & shoring, asbestos handler / supervisor, confined space entry, certified flagging and 40 hour hazardous waste operations course.
Weekly a safety message is sent out for reading and review of many pertinent topics. These sessions are an extension of our more intense training designed to keep the entire workforce focused on the various safety issues of our work.
Every day the entire crew meets for a briefing of the day’s work where the superintendent or foreman incorporate safety into each step of the plan. This planning is assisted by both the site specific safety plan and job safety analysis.
Workers are encouraged to give input on the work that can make the job safer and more productive. As a TEAM member the worker will be well trained in the operation of a variety of equipment needed to complete our customer’s job. Having many working in unison toward the same final goal makes for a quality product delivered to the customer in a timely manner with no injuries.
Zoladz Construction realizes that safety is compromised without a Drug & Alcohol policy and program. As a company each worker is expected to be drug and alcohol free during their work hours. Any behavior that is associated with drug or alcohol use may require the worker to submit to a for cause test. Other key elements to the safety program are listed below:

While our record is within BLS ranges for lost time and injuries we are not satisfied. From the President down the company is committed to continuously improving our record and our results to ensure that every worker enjoys an accident free career. We will continue to train and encourage TEAM to achieve these results. There will be a constant review of the worker’s efforts with input from every facet president to the worker to make course corrections on a regular basis.
